Will ‘Game Of Thrones’ Prequel 'Bloodmoon' Fill The Void Among GoT Fans?

Now that the world’s most popular series Game of Thrones is over, fans are mostly depressed and whining about the ending. Game of Thrones Season 8 according to its serious fans is a disaster but this is just an escape for most of them to get a rock-hard remake made for them so that they could once again experience the intriguing epic fantasy and talk about it day and night. Game of Thrones became a cultural phenomenon of sorts among millennials as most of them grew up watching this series. There’s too much nostalgia linked with HBO’s mega-hit whose fan base spreads across the globe.

Fans are disgusted worldwide after Daenerys torched the whole city with her dragon and their level of tolerance broke when Bran the broken was made the king after so much chaos over the throne. Unlike its previous seasons, GoT Season 8 got lesser approval ratings from its critics and fans alike but the popularity of the series rose all-time high as reports say 19.3 million viewers watched Game of Thrones Season 8 Finale. The entire series seems like a dream run for HBO as no TV Series has achieved this so far. GoT’s appeal mostly lies in its brutal ways to show the reality and its non-fantastical way to deal with political intricacies and human relationships.

From tactically sound battle scenes to intellectually dense court conversations, from witty dialogues to unexpected plot twists, Game of Thrones delighted its audience with many unforgettable moments that will stay in their memories for a lifetime. GoT is no ordinary TV Series, it’s an experience which can’t be missed. People, who haven’t seen this, can’t relate to the madness it generated, however, its fans can’t find an alternative to this masterpiece which eventually makes them sad. Once you enter the territory of George R.R Martin’s universe, you hardly can escape from its magic. It’s an addiction and fans are now struggling to overcome the withdrawal symptom worldwide.

There are even helpline numbers now to rehabilitate its fans. The end of this epic saga has created a void in people’s lives that can be only replaced by an alternative which is somehow linked with the series and currently ‘Bloodmoon’ seems to be the only antidote for its fans to rejoice a bit. Winter is not over yet, Bloodmoon, a Game of Thrones prequel is currently filming in Belfast. The prequel is set thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones hence you can’t expect to see any previous characters for the series, which is solemnly painful however fans of the series can get the backstory of the worlds’ descend from the Age of Heroes to the darkest hour. It would be interesting to watch a darker and grittier version of GoT as Bloodmoon will be all about the origin of White Walkers, Children of the Forest, the Starks of legend and mysteries of the East.

The end is always peaceful, solemn and equally painful. Characters departed to wild countries for exploration, few took the courtroom to establish a new order, and others just became ashes of memories. All the characters in the Game of Thrones are now legends. Few characters which stood out among a very long list of cast includes Ned Stark, Robert Baratheon, Jaime Lannister, Catelyn Stark, Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Jorah Mormont, Jon Snow, Sansa Stark, Arya Stark, Robb Stark, Theon Greyjoy, Bran Stark, Joffrey Baratheon, The Hound, Tyrion Lannister, Khal Drogo, Petyr Baelish, Davos Seaworth, Samwell Tarly, Stannis Baratheon, Melisandre, Bronn, Varys, Shae, Margaery Tyrell, Tywin Lannister, Ygritte, Gendry, Tormund, Brienne of Tarth, Ramsay Bolton, Gilly, Missandei, Ellaria Sand, Grey Worm, Hodor and Night King. These characters surely created an impact and will always be a part of every GoT fans’ greater universe. Is winter officially over? Probably not.
